Join us for an long weekend in the Languedoc region while taking in an early season sportive (Trophee d’Or Roger Pingeon) which takes place in early April each year.
The course for the Roger Pingeon sportive varies from year to year, but it always starts and ends in the pretty town of Gignac with about 140-150km of stunning scenery and 1500-2000m of climbing through the Cevennes hills in between.
The area of Herault abounds with quiet back roads that wind through the rolling countryside filled with vineyards and olive groves. The region offers varied terrain - from rolling hills to 3 to 5 mile long climbs - and all year round cycling. Winter temperatures rarely dip below 10 degrees, with plenty of sunshine making it an ideal destination if you are looking to get some early season training in.
