A day of cycling is a great way to really experience the region, especially since we are lucky enough to benefit from an average of 320 days of sunshine a year. It is also the perfect way to get a taste for the terrain if you are thinking about joining a longer cycling tour. The area of Herault abounds with quiet back roads that wind through the rolling countryside filled with vineyards and olive groves. The terrain is varied making it easy for us to select an enjoyable route whatever your cycling level. Heading towards the coast, routes are relatively flat. Inland the roads offer gently rolling hills and longer climbs for those who are looking for a challenge. We will ride with you and introduce you to the best routes and places to stop along the way. We recommend a hybrid bike as a flexible option for all routes, but all-terrain or road bikes can be accomodated. Bike hire can be provided for an additional charge and subject to availability. We are confident you will love cycling in Languedoc as much as we do!

"Come ride with me" is a perfect way to get a taste for cycling in this magnificent, but relatively unknown region. The area of Herault abounds with quiet back roads that wind through the rolling countryside filled with vineyards. Starting from our home base in the village of Caux, Bruce will ride with you and introduce you to the best routes and places to stop along the way. The region offers varied terrain - from rolling hills to 3 to 5 mile long climbs - and all year round cycling. Winter temperatures rarely dip below 10 degrees, with plenty of sunshine making it an ideal destination if you are looking to get some winter miles in. On your own or as a small group (2 – 4 people) Bruce will create a personalised riding experience catered to your wishes and fitness level. We are confident you will want to come back!

After hugely enjoyable events in 2017 and 2018, Vie et Velo is one again supporting Cancer Support France's Cycle For Life. We hope you will join us! This year's 5-day challenge runs from May 15th to May 19th, 2019 with participants cycling through some of the most diverse landscapes in Languedoc. The route starts in the Montagne Noire and ends at the beautiful walled city of Perpignan. You will cycle between 40 and 50 km per day along the scenic Voie Verte de Haut Languedoc, through the Languedocian vines and along the Mediteranean coast. It is not a race and everyone can do as few or as many days as they like, taking it at their own pace. Following greenways and designated cycle routes where possible, it is suitable for novice cyclists and families. It is free to participate and you'll meet some lovely people along the way and have great fun whilst helping to support an amazing charity. As part of our support for the event, we will be riding along with participants and are offering help with bike hire and booking accomodations.
