Project Description
Route length: 110km

Route description
This route takes a winding path through the villages of Fontes, Cabrieres, Salasc, and Octon on the way to Lodeve. It is full of short and sharpish hill climbs through the red rocky hills which are typical of the area.
It is worth stopping for lunch and a bit of sightseeing in Lodeve. The cathedral is a particularly well preserved example of local Gothic architecture.
On the return trip, the route passes along the edge of Lac du Salagou. Enjoy the more leisurely inclines and the breathtaking open vistas over this beautiful lake. You will also have the chance to stop off in many of the same villages as on the way out. The village of Octon has a popular weekly market on Thursdays where you can stop for a browse or pick up fresh local produce for your evening meal.
Return to Caux via Neffies. The surface is paved for the entire route.
