Autumn in the Vines

A self-guided, point-to-point cycling tour through the vineyards and rolling countryside of Herault and Aude, two of the most popular subregions of Languedoc. Pedal at your own pace as you explore the amazingly varied terrain and history of this area.

Level: medium, some hill climbs, designed for active riders (can be easily adjusted for recreational or more avid riders)

Tour includes:

    • 7 nights accommodation in 3 star hotels or chambre d’hôtes
    • Transfer for you and your bike from Montpellier or Beziers airport or Narbonne rail station
    • Luggage transfer to next destination each day
    • 6 days self-guided cycling. We will provide route directions and GPX files for a Garmin device or similar.
    • 1 rest day with suggestions for non-cycling activities
    • Breakfast each day
    • 2 evening meals in table d’hôtes format

    Multiple routes to chose from!

    Our extensive route library means there is something for everyone from a leisurely peddle around the local vineyards to a full day in the saddle tackling challenging hill climbs. You can choose a different ride each day from a central location or take advantage of our support vehicle and cycle point-to-point to explore the wider area. All routes come with an easy-to-follow route card with IGN map and can be pre-loaded on to a GPS device.

    All you need to do is ride!

    Our self-guided packages include a nutritious packed lunch and snacks to fuel you for your days riding, plus suggestions for stopping off points for sightseeing and food breaks. The routes have been planned to avoid busy main roads allowing you to take in the stunning scenery of the region. At our shop, we have secure storage for your bike, a workshop with tools and some basic spares to keep you on the road.

From a fixed base in the beautiful Languedocian countryside, you will explore some of the most stunning scenery that Languedoc has to offer and sample the fare of the small regional winemakers and local food producers that you might not encounter otherwise.

Pedal at your own pace amongst lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards and through the many picturesque villages.
